Testamonial from a student
To whom it may concern:
Vicki Khuzami is a very hands-on teacher who is thorough, well prepared and planned—she was able to bring together a class that included students advanced in both painting and art skills, as well as those like myself that came in with very little experience. She starts with the basics, allowing people like myself to gain confidence, with gradual progression from a model drawing to a full-scale mural painting.
Vicki showed us her portfolio and, while it would have been easy to be intimidated by the bounds and depths of her work, such was not the case. She encourages her students and instills comraderie and the willingness to work with one another. Although it was her first time teaching, she appeared very comfortable as an educator, adapting quite easily as her role changed from artist to professor.
The class I took effectively combined the technical and practical aspects of mural painting, and I, as a result of this class, look at objects in the world differently and with more interest. I think that Vicki should be strongly considered for any similar teaching opportunities that become available. She genuinely cares and I am confident that she will be successful in giving burgeoning art students the right tutelage, as well as promoting and stimulating the interests of the curious but inexperienced.
Sincerely,
Steven R. Adang
